Community Guidelines

1. Our Mission

U Funny is built for comedians, by people who love comedy. Our goal is to create a space where comics can share their work, get honest feedback, grow their skills, and support each other.

These Community Guidelines exist to make sure U Funny stays a place where everyone feels safe to be creative. They apply to all content shared on U Funny -- including videos, reviews, feedback, profile information, and any other user-generated content.

U Funny has a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive users. Violations will result in content removal and may lead to immediate account suspension or permanent termination.

2. What's Not Allowed

Hate Speech & Discrimination

Content that attacks, demeans, or dehumanizes individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or immigration status is strictly prohibited.

Harassment & Bullying

Do not target individuals with repeated unwanted contact, threats, intimidation, or personal attacks. Constructive comedy feedback is encouraged; personal attacks are not.

Threats & Violence

Content that threatens or promotes violence against any individual or group is not allowed. This includes threats of physical harm, encouraging self-harm, and glorifying violent acts.

Sexually Explicit Content

Pornographic or sexually explicit material is not permitted. Comedy that touches on adult themes is different from explicit content -- use good judgment.

Exploitation of Minors

Any content that exploits, endangers, or sexualizes minors is absolutely prohibited and will be reported to law enforcement.

Doxxing & Privacy Violations

Sharing someone's personal information (real name, address, phone number, workplace) without their consent is prohibited.

Impersonation

Do not impersonate other comedians, public figures, or U Funny staff. Parody accounts must be clearly labeled as such.

Spam & Scams

Automated posting, deceptive links, promotional spam, and scam content are not allowed.

Illegal Activity

Content that promotes or facilitates illegal activities, including drug trafficking, fraud, or piracy, is prohibited.

Copyright Infringement

Only share content you created or have permission to use. Do not upload other comedians' sets, copyrighted music, or stolen material.

3. Giving Feedback & Reviews

Set reviews and feedback are a core part of U Funny. Great feedback helps comedians grow. Here's how to keep it constructive:

Be specific: "Your crowd work transition at 2:30 was strong" is better than "this was bad"
Be honest but respectful: You can critique a set without attacking the person
Focus on the craft: Comment on timing, material, delivery, stage presence -- not personal characteristics
No personal attacks: Feedback that targets a person's identity rather than their performance is harassment, not critique

        Good feedback makes comics better. Personal attacks get accounts banned. Know the difference.
      

4. How to Report Content

If you see content that violates these guidelines, please report it immediately:

On a video or clip: Tap the flag icon in the header to report the content
On a user profile: Tap the three-dot menu and select "Report User"
On a review or feedback: Tap and hold the review to access the report option
Via email: Contact team@ufunny.app with details

All reports are confidential. We do not share reporter information with the reported user.

We review all reports within 24 hours and will take appropriate action based on the severity of the violation.

5. How to Block a User

If you want to stop seeing content from a specific user:

Go to their profile and tap the three-dot menu
Select "Block User"
Their content will be immediately removed from your feed
They will not be able to see your content or interact with you
You can unblock users at any time from Settings

When you block a user, our moderation team is also notified so we can review the situation and take action if needed.

6. Enforcement Actions

We take violations seriously. Here's what happens when guidelines are broken:

Violation Level	Action Taken
Minor (e.g., borderline language, mild spam)	Content removed, warning issued
Moderate (e.g., harassment, hate speech, repeated minor violations)	Content removed, temporary account suspension (7-30 days)
Severe (e.g., threats, exploitation, illegal activity)	Content removed, permanent account termination, reported to law enforcement

Appeals: If you believe your content was removed or your account was actioned in error, you can appeal by emailing team@ufunny.app with your username and a description of the situation. We will review all appeals within 7 business days.

7. Our Commitment

We are committed to:

Reviewing all user reports promptly (within 24 hours)
Applying our guidelines consistently and fairly
Being transparent about enforcement actions
Continuously improving our content moderation systems
Listening to community feedback about these guidelines

        These guidelines may be updated from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app. The most current version will always be available at this page.
